Sameera Reddy isn’t worried that the clock is ticking away. The B-town glam girl, who’s raking in compliments for her slim avatar, is least bothered about it.
I absolutely love my birthdays. In fact, I always wished it could come at least twice in a year,” laughs the fiery Saggitarian, who celebrates her birthday today.
She’s unperturbed about the short shelf-life of actresses, and says, “I don’t think that there’s any wrong side of the age to be at in Bollywood anymore. Instead of brooding over turning older, I enjoy looking back at the fun and experiences and look forward to another kickass year.” Not surprising, considering she has Nagesh Kukunoor’s Yeh Hosla, Red Alert and a Priyadarshan film.
Explaining her long hiatus post Race, Sam clarifies that she wasn’t missing in action. “Just that the action was all happening down South. But now I want to balance the two, and won’t mind tilting a little more in favour of Bollywood.” So is comedy on her mind when she signs new films? “No. I really enjoyed doing comedy, but I want a mix of everything on my platter. Nagesh’s film is a far cry from anything I have done before,” she says.
But, she does admit that the one genre she’s dying to do is action. “I’d love to do action. I think that would be really sexy,” she smiles.
Sam also wishes to be a part of a desi item number. That apart, what’s high on the hottie’s wish list for her birthday? “SRK and Sallubhai. I really really want to work with them. They’re definitely what I’ll be wishing for when I make my birthday wishes today,” she smiles. |
